Edwind commenced his career in the marine industry in Singapore through a senior operations supervisor program to learn the ropes of port operations. His role involved the inspections of damaged containers, incident investigations and overseeing out-of-gauge handling. Thereafter, Edwind was appointed as an operations executive in a bulk handling logistics business dealing with the ISO-tank industry. He started marine surveying by attending to ship-to-ship, ship-to-barge and ship-terminal transfer surveys with more than 400 bunker operations ranging from the world’s largest iron ore carrier at that time to the smallest naval patrol boats. Edwind then moved to Sydney and worked as a cargo inspector where he undertook all surveys relating to a variety of petroleum products. He is an accredited IFIA inspector.
