Liew began his career with subcontracting and tendering work, followed by holding roles as a ship repair and mechanical engineer in a prestigious construction shipyard. Drawing on his prior experience, Liew transitioned to a loss adjusting role specializing in offshore construction. His responsibilities include managing and adjusting claims for upstream and downstream losses in the energy market, include renewables. Liew has extensive experience working with North Asian clients, particularly in China, Taiwan and Japan. Some of Liew’s notable works include major and complex losses in deepwater and shallow water production facilities and construction projects. He has worked on numerous claims for hull and machinery of ships and special vessels (including jack-up rigs and semi-submersibles). Liew is also a competent risk assessor and has performed risk assessments for many production facilities, storage terminals and construction shipyards.
