Product recall: not a question of if…
but when

Chris Harvey Sedgwick, SVP, client services
Rick Graham Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority (SEPTA), chief risk officer

LOCATION: B405

When their products’ safety comes into question, time is everything for the thousands of companies that endure product recalls each year. With public safety and financial and reputational damage at stake in the digital age—when information and misinformation spread rapidly—decisions need to be make quickly. A fast but ill-judged choice, however, can add cost and damage an organization’s brand and reputation. Consider whether your organization is sufficiently prepared for such incidents with plans in place to react to the inevitable. Look at some of the key considerations surrounding product recalls, including creating sound crisis plans, conducting mock recalls and testing team readiness. Review the notification, retrieval, processing, storage and disposal of recalled products. Join an engaging discussion of these complex undertakings to gain practical insights into laying the foundation for—or refining—your product recall plan.
