After graduating Faiz worked as a Diplom civil engineer in the administration department for technical services of the city of Tartous in Syria. His activities included the calculation and control of road and building construction as well as earthquake-proofing buildings.Faiz came to Munich at the end of 2005 and started his PhD at the Technical University of Munich and specialized in pre-stressed concrete and tensioning, pre-stressed concrete bridges and property and the requirements for injection mortar. During his PhD Faiz worked as a research assistant at the Department of Solid Construction and the Materials Testing Office of the Technical University of Munich. His activities included external controlling of mortar injection works of pre-stressed concrete bridges and the related expert works. Faiz joined Sedgwick in Germany in 2016 as a technical expert and senior loss adjuster. His activities include the handling of major and complex liability and property losses.
