David Gear

David has more than 30 years of experience working as a loss adjuster and has held various roles over the course of his career including management positions. He currently acts as director of Scotland and Northern Ireland’s major and complex loss team and has focused solely on major and complex losses for the past 15 years. David specialises in handling losses involving the public sector, retail, hotel, education, manufacturing, food and beverage, care home operators and property owners. He has acted as a technical expert for a multitude of claims, delivered several technical presentations and run multiple training workshops for local insurance institutes, insurers, brokers, specialist sector groups and policyholders. David has also been a sponsor/mentor for Sedgwick’s graduate and protégé programs.
