Francis Barber

Francis is an executive loss adjuster, chartered civil engineer and geotechnical specialist who has more than two decades of experience with Sedgwick. He has extensive experience working on major infrastructure and construction projects around the world, and specialises in property, mining-related business interruption losses, petrochemical and power generation claims. Francis is also a leading expert in the analysis of delay claims where projects are insured against delay in startup, a topic he has lectured extensively about. He co-authored the CII Advanced Study Group textbook on delay insurance, as well as the supplement to the CII Advanced Study Group textbook on construction insurance. Additionally, Francis has contributed to two other textbooks regarding business interruption and the delay and disruption in construction contracts. He has delivered lectures and seminars in multiple countries.
